AM ritual: When I wake up, I make breakfast with my family. We like to eat together and talk about what our day will look like. After breakfast and a quick shower, I start my morning skincare routine. I use Shani Darden Cleansing Serum to wash my face, and then spritz with Mad Moisture Beauty Glow Illuminating Skin Mist. Next, I apply Karyng Eye Cream, and a hydrating face oil. Right now, I’m loving Buff Her Peach Drops. The final step in my AM ritual is always Black Girl Sunscreen.

PM wind down:After a long day of either being on a production set or doing live makeup talks and classes, I can’t wait to wash my face! One of my favorite things to do is a triple cleanse I learned from an esthetician colleague. I take my Shani Darden Cleansing Serum and start washing my face to break down any products I have had on from earlier in the day. Next, I don’t rinse off, but instead, I add my exfoliant, Buff Her Vanilla Almond Crumbles Cleansing Scrub, right on top of the cleanser and start gently scrubbing away for about 2 to 3 minutes. Then I add True Botanicals Glacial Clay Detox Mask on top of the cleanser and exfoliant. After about 5 minutes, I rinse my skin thoroughly and hydrate with Yanzy Skincare Rose Mist and Glow Serum. My skin feels so refreshed!

Feel-good song: Feeling Good by Victory Boyd.

A mistake you’ve learned from: Earlier on in my career, I would talk myself out of doing certain jobs or going to networking events because I was nervous to talk to people. Over time I realized people are people and we’re all nervous to talk to one another, but we all have more in common than we think!

To your younger self: Don’t be afraid to start something new and keep going even if you mess up. The more you do it, the better you’ll become.

A wellness expert who has significantly helped you: My facialist, Noelle Simmons, from True Botanicals. Her Gua Sha facial massage has helped by releasing facial tension and stress—completely life-changing!

Favorite wellness/beauty book: The Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Phyllis A. Balch has been my go-to book for over 20 years!

Go-to stress remedy: Cooking elaborate meals help me to destress. I think it has something to do with all the savory smells and colorful food!

Supplements you can’t live without: Elderberry, Acerola, and Turmeric are supplements I take every morning to boost my immune system.

Three things you’re really into right now: The NYT Cooking app, educating people on Black-owned beauty brands, and day trips exploring different SoCal cities.

Top 3 Instagram accounts for inspiration: @oye_diran, @michellenorrisphoto, and @accidentallywesanderson

Your ultimate indulgence: I would love to have an all-day spa day that includes brunch, a facial, body scrub, deep tissue massage, stretching, and mani and pedi!

Must-have Agent Nateur product: holi(stick) Deodorant is the only natural deodorant that has worked for me without irritating my skin.
