Beauty Icon: My mum. She’s a natural beauty. She never wears makeup or uses fancy products, but looks amazing and ten years younger than her actual age. Her secret is living a balanced life, a lot of outdoor activities in the Swiss mountains, and good nutrition.
Favorite city for inspiration: Paris and New York.
Introvert or extrovert: I can be both, depending on who’s around me.
Daily uniform: Jeans and one of REFINE’s camisoles.
AM ritual: Going for a run.
PM wind down: Fooling around.
Secret skill: Freeriding with my skis or snowboard.
Best Advice you’ve ever received: It’s less of outspoken advice, but I am deeply influenced by how my parents live their lives. They are my role models. They are running a business that requires hard work and responsibility, yet they never compromise their own needs for downtime with the family or living an active lifestyle in nature. I try to maintain the same kind of balance.
A mistake you’ve learned from: I went through really severe back issues in my early 20s. The cause was physical and psychological stress. Through that experience, I have learned to never compromise on my health or wellbeing.
To your younger self: Have more self-confidence!
A wellness expert who has significantly helped you: I am lucky to have been raised by parents who always preferred a holistic approach to treating health issues. I learned from a young age that it is important to treat the cause of an illness rather than the symptoms. I have experienced how much you can improve your wellbeing through adjustments to your lifestyle.
Favorite wellness/beauty book: I am not a big reader, but I enjoy listening to the Goop podcast for wellness topics.
Three things you’re really into right now: The French cooking series TopChef, my upcoming vacation in the Swiss Alps, and Pip & Nut Crunchy Almond Butter.
How are you managing anxiety in light of the COVID-19? I am an optimist and I’ve taken the opportunity to reflect and do the things for which I never had the time before.
Is there a COVID-19 silver lining for you? I like how everything slowed down. It shows that doing things more considered and at a slower pace works well and, in fact, is better for us and the planet.
