The Agent Nateur post-procedure protocol

The Agent Nateur post-procedure protocol

After any in-office treatment, the skin enters a controlled healing phase.

Your goal is not to stimulate - it’s to stabilize, hydrate, and protect.

This is where a simplified, intentional ritual matters most.

Immediately post-procedure (first 7–14 days)

Focus: calm, hydration, barrier protection

Occlusive support (when needed)

In the first few days - especially after more aggressive treatments - your practitioner may recommend an occlusive layer to protect the skin.

Products like Aquaphor Healing Ointment or Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream can:

• prevent transepidermal water loss

• protect compromised skin

• support faster barrier recovery

Use sparingly, as a final layer, and only when the skin feels dry, tight, or exposed.

holi (water)

Your first layer of recovery.

Formulated with cucumber, lavender, rose hydrosol, pearl, and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, it:

• visibly reduces heat and redness

• supports barrier repair

• binds hydration while forming a protective veil

holi (glow)

A lipid-rich oil that restores comfort and elasticity.

• replenishes essential fatty acids

• seals in hydration

• leaves skin soft, smooth, and supported

This phase is about doing less—but doing it correctly.

4-5 days post-procedure:

holi (cleanse)

A gentle, non-stripping cleanse that removes impurities without disrupting a compromised barrier. Skin stays clean, never tight or depleted.

1-2 weeks post-procedure (once skin is no longer reactive)

Focus: repair + gentle reintroduction of actives

holi (water) crème

A barrier-supporting moisturizer that strengthens and smooths as skin normalizes.

• reinforces hydration

• improves tone and texture with niacinamide

• supports recovery without congestion

holi (c)

A stabilized, gentle form of vitamin C that helps:

• brighten and even tone

• support collagen

• enhance overall radiance

When to reintroduce acids

Exfoliation should be intentional, not rushed. As skin fully recovers, you can begin reintroducing targeted resurfacing through:

acid (wash)

A controlled, gentle cleanse that refines without over-stripping.

holi (lift)

A resurfacing treatment that smooths the appearance of texture and fine lines while maintaining hydration.

holi (bright)

Targets uneven tone and dullness, helping restore clarity and luminosity post-treatment.

General timing guidelines

• Gentle / Non-Ablative Lasers (Clear + Brilliant, Genesis)

Resume low-concentration acids after 5–7 days, only if there is no lingering redness or sensitivity

• Fractional Lasers (Fraxel)

Wait 10–14 days, or until all rough texture and flaking has fully resolved

• Ablative / Resurfacing Lasers (CO2, Erbium)

Wait 3–6 weeks

You should wait at least two weeks to restart retinol - the timing greatly depends on the laser penetrated and how quickly your skin heals. Using it too early on a compromised skin barrier can lead to severe irritation, burning, or prolonged redness. If there is any doubt, wait longer. Pushing too early can compromise results.

Always speak to your doctor or practitioner before using any skincare immediately following your procedure; and share the ingredients you’re thinking about using with them.
