Stay

Hotel Costes
1st arrondissement
239-241 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris
01 42 44 50 00
Cozy, romantic rooms with beautiful fabric wall paper and claw foot bath tubs are filled with Costes signature bath and body products. Buy their signature candle for your room.   The restaurant and room service are also my favorite in all of Paris.

Le Meurice
1st arrondissement
228 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris

The Hoxton
2nd arrondissement
30-32 Rue du Sentier, 75002 Paris
01 85 65 75 00
In my opinion, this is the best hotel if you’re on a budget.  Many Parisian locals work from The Hoxton during the day. The food is healthy and tasty.

J.K. Place Paris
7th arrondissement
82 Rue de Lille, 75007 Paris
This hotel has not opened, but J.K. Place has a cult following that was established 15 years ago in Florence and later in Capri and Rome. The 7th arrondissement is one of the best places to live in Paris, especially if you have a family.  Most streets have a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower.

Hotel Bourg Tibourg
4th arrondissement
19 Rue du Bourg Tibourg, 75004 Paris
01 42 78 47 39
A gothic, romantic, oriental-inspired hotel that reminds me of Hotel Costes.  The rooms are reasonable and the hotel is beautiful. Most of Paris shuts down on Sunday, but the Marais is open so it’s a perfect neighborhood stay.

Four Seasons George V
8th arrondissement
31 Avenue George V, 75008 Paris
01 49 52 70 00
Close to the Champs Elysee, the George V is the best place to view Jeff Leatham’s gorgeous floral arrangements, especially during Christmas. Also, the lobby is perfect for a late night tea.

The Peninsula Paris
16th arrondissement
19 Avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris
01 58 12 28 88
The Peninsula is opulent and decadent with one of the best Sunday brunches in Paris. The rooftop restaurant has a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, as well as some of the rooms.

Hotel Plaza Athénée
8th arrondissement
25 Avenue Montaigne, 75008 Paris
01 53 67 66 65
This has the most magnificent ivy-covered courtyard that turns into an Ice skating rink during Christmas. I don’t eat gluten anymore, but the truffle chicken salad is something you have to try at least once in your life. A few of the rooms have an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower and there is fabulous shopping all along Avenue Montaigne, as well as Hotel Costes’s sister restaurant L’Avenue.

Eat

Breakfast

Hotel Costes
239-241 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris

Delicious almond cappuccinos, sheep yogurt, berries, simple avocado, and smoked salmon.

The Hoxton
30-32 Rue du Sentier, 75002 Paris
01 85 65 75 00
Incredible breakfast on a budget. This is one of my favorite places. The split banana parfait is served over coconut yogurt and topped with bee pollen. The gluten-free avocado toast is also delicious.

The Peninsula Paris
19 Avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris
01 58 12 28 88
A fabulous prix-fixe is served for Sunday brunch on the entrance level. It’s over the top and completely decadent. Also, the rooftop restaurant overlooks a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower.

Lunch

Ralph’s
173 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris
Ralph Lauren knows how to do a restaurant.  Ralph’s has the best tuna burger I’ve ever had. The lobster salad is small, but delicious. And the fried, green olives are irresistible. It’s one of my all-time favorite dining experiences in Paris.

Café De L’Homme
17 Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, 75116 Paris
The food is good, but you’re there for the view of the Eiffel Tower.

Le Petit Lutetia
107 Rue de Sèvres, 75006 Paris
For an appetizer, try the steamed artichoke. They serve the best crab salad in Paris and the duck confit is also incredible .

Mar’Co
4 Rue de la Sourdière, 75001 Paris, France
Ever since Colette closed, Paris has been incredibly upset over no longer having a water bar.  The creator, Marc Giami just offered a solution with his elegant new concept called Mar’Co.

Dinner

Le Comptoir de la Gastronomie
34 Rue Montmartre, 75001 Paris
My diet is so restrictive in the US, but this restaurant is a very French, decadent treat. Pan-seared foie gras is served over apples and black bread.  Foie-gras raviolis are topped with a cream sauce and truffles and they have a delicious French-onion soup.

Hotel Costes
239-241 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris
The menu is seasonal, but depending on the time of year my favorites include the truffle risotto, Tom Yan Seabass, and the green bean salad. If you want to splurge on dessert, try the cracker cheesecake. I stick to the plate of berries which is served with the most delicious whipped cream that’s not too sweet.

Kinugawa Vendome
1 Rue Mont-Thabor, 75001 Paris
My favorite sushi restaurant in Paris! Kinugawa makes me happy. Sea Bream
sashimi, spinach and asparagus truffle salad and coconut curry shrimp are some
of my favorite dishes. I dream of this place!

Udon Bistro Kunitoraya
1 Rue Villédo, 75001 Paris
Incredible Japanese noodle house featuring Japanese-style savory fried chicken and udon noodles with shrimp. They have a fancier restaurant around the corner, but this bistro is outstanding.

Caviar Kaspia
17 Place de la Madeleine, 75008 Paris
Indulge in to-die-for baked potatoes topped with caviar and opt for the gluten-free black buckwheat bread and blinis.

Balagan Paris
9 Rue d'Alger, 75001 Paris
This has lots of beautifully plated fish options that are equally delicious.

SKIN

Biologique Recherche

The best facials in Paris are still at Biologique Recherche. The products are somewhat clean and the facials are always customized to fit your skin’s needs. I’m a big fan of P50w, their famous exfoliator.  I buy it in France because there’s no phenyl, a chemical that was banned in Europe a few years ago. You can also find it in the states, just make sure it’s phenyl-free

Le Bon Marche is definitely the most visually stunning department store in Paris. My favorite section is the candles and stationery. You can also find green beauty brands like Tata Harper on the second floor and a good selection of perfume on the first floor. Make sure to stop across the street at their grocery to gasp at 95€ glass bottled water.  The children’s section is adorable, too.
