Nateur Cooking: Agent Nateur Holi S’mores!
There’s something particularly comforting about s’mores. Do they take us back to our childhood? They sure do. But they’re also a must-have for sharing on darker evenings, when we’re old enough to choose our own bedtime!
We created our s’mores using healthy home-made collagen and gelatin Agent marshmallows. The cinnamon and sugar organic graham crackers and salted dark chocolate made all the difference - and the touch of salt made them extra delicious!
Serve with a holi (mane) hot chocolate -- just add a scoop of holi (mane) to your hot chocolate and mix in a blender or with a hand frother! For a really special finishing touch, top with more of the organic marshmallows!
Here is our simple, healthy marshmallow recipe:
6 tablespoons gelatin powder
2 scoops holi (mane)
2 cups filtered water
1 ½ cups organic maple syrup
3 teaspoons organic vanilla extract
Tapioca starch, for coating
Coconut oil, for greasing
Directions
- Grease a ceramic dish with coconut oil and dust with tapioca starch. The size of the dish will dictate the size of the marshmallows. For larger marshmallows use a loaf-size pan. For standard-sized marshmallows, use a 9x9-inch dish. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the holi (mane), gelatin powder and 1 cup of hot water. Mix to combine, then let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Put the remaining 1 cup of water and maple syrup in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over a medium heat. Continue to boil, stirring, until thick for 3-5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the gelatin mixture. Mix over low heat until blended. Remove from heat.
- Pour the mixture into the bowl of a stand mixer then whisk the mixture, slowly increasing the speed to medium-high, for 10 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and continue mixing until you have a thick consistency — about 10-15 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into the dish evenly.
- Refrigerate for 3-5 hours, until set.
- Sprinkle tapioca starch on a sheet of parchment paper. Then carefully place the set marshmallows onto the parchment. Dust all sides of the marshmallows with a bit of tapioca starch before slicing into desired shapes. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
