What is Redensyl™?

If you’re struggling with hair problems, you may have heard of Redensyl™.

It is one of the newest breakthroughs against the appearance of hair loss that has been hailed as one of the ‘best alternatives to a hair transplant’.

For something that holds so much power, you wouldn’t be judged for thinking that this ingredient might be less than natural but what makes Redensyl™ so amazing is that not only is it very powerful, but it is also natural, non-hormonal, and encourages hair growth at a cellular level - whilst also being 100% non-irritable, non-toxic and non-sensitizing. 

So, what actually is Redensyl™?

Great question.

Redensyl™ is created through a unique patented synthesis process (an organic solvent-free enzymatic glycosylation process) - but whilst that potentially sounds a little scary, it is actually an ingredient made up of pure plant extracts and fully natural ingredients, including:

• DHQG
• EGCG 2
• Glycine
• Zinc Chloride
• Meta-bisulfite
• Glycerin
• Water

Two of the most critical compounds in Redensyl™ are DHQG and EGCG 2, which work very powerfully together. 

The DHQG molecule (a modified polyphenol extracted from the Larch Tree) can promote and activate the division of bulge stem cells (ORSc) in the human scalp. This DHQG molecule activates ORSc stem cell activation and encourages the division of these stem cells - all without the cost of stem cell therapy.  

On top of this, DHQG also:

• protects these stem cells from apoptosis (a type of cell death); as well as
• boosting the metabolism of dermal papilla fibroblasts (HFPDc cells) that support the growth of hair and hair follicles.

In short, the DHQG molecule activates both the DPc and ORSc cells.

And the EGCG 2? This is a component extracted from green tea that has multiple effects on all kinds of human pathological and physiological processes but, in this situation, it reduces the typical inflammation associated with any sort of alopecic scalp. In short, it helps nurture a scalp environment conducive to healthy and happy hair growth.

When DHQG and EGCG 2 are then further combined with glycine (a major constituent of hair proteins and a critical amino acid for the growth of healthy hair) and zinc (an important cofactor that helps keratin incorporate cystin to lead to a stronger, longer, and healthier hair shaft), we see a powerful push towards better hair.

So, Redensyl™ is to be used topically?

It does.

Holi(locks) is the most beautiful topical serum made for your hair and scalp and it is to be used in line with how best to use the active ingredients in it, such as Redensyl™.

Guidance on Redensyl™ suggests that it should be applied topically to the affected areas of hair loss over an extended period of time and that is why we advise incorporating Holi(locks) into your wellness regime by applying it to hair and scalp every night, leaving it on overnight, and then rinsing in the morning.

Once applied topically onto the scalp, Redensyl™ (and Holi(locks)) boosts blood circulation and delivery of nutrients to the areas. It targets hair follicle cells, encourages cell division, and puts your hair follicles, including those that have become inactive and dormant, back into a better phase.

How long do I have to take it for?

In a recent double-blind clinical study vs. a placebo, working with people experiencing grade three to four alopecia and hair loss, sustained use of Redensyl™ was shown to: 

• Drive the appearance of hair growth - in just under 90 days (84 days), respondents had more hair (up to +17%);
• Increase the number and density of the appearance of hairs in their anagen (growing) phase (increased by +9%); and
• Reduced shedding by -17%

The clinical self-evaluation of Redensyl™ by Reden Hair also shows that respondents saw the appearance of an additional 10,200 hair follicles over the 3 month testing period -  which can be considered better results than one hair transplantation procedure.
