What it is: The Miami Beach Hotel with Spa has a massive Turkish hammam with tiers of heated marble, a eucalyptus steam room, sound showers, a Finnish sauna and an ice room. The guest rooms are set in tropical gardens and many of them feature terraces and outdoor soaking tubs. In addition to the indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy playground, there’s a range of treatments, and studio classes such as tai chi, pilates, body conditioning and yoga.
What we like about it: Perfect for a girlie treat or a romantic break, they make the most of the location and weather - try the sunrise yoga on the dock.
Our favorite: The hot marble in the hammam - you can book a rub and scrub or just relax tired muscles, stretch and unwind.

What it is: With its beautiful beaches, surrounded by the ocean on three sides, South of Fifth, also known as SoFi (so-FEE), is a small exclusive affluent neighborhood in South Beach (Miami Beach) that goes from South Pointe Park north to fifth street; from east to west.
What we like about it: For panoramic views of the horizon, a chance to sunbathe, walk along the beach, or picnic in the park, it’s totally relaxing and quite possibly the best free experience in Miami.
Our favorite: Sunset walks along the beach.

What it is: Five star luxury overlooking the ocean. The chic hotel design spans Art Deco to the traditional glamor of the 1950s. There’s a choice of cocktail bars and restaurants, a spa, salon and gym, and it even has its own theater.
What we like about it: The spa, known as the Tierra Santa Healing House, features one of the largest hammams on the East Coast, and offers a range of body-healing rituals and treatments including advanced facial treatments.
Our favorite: for a huge treat, we love the Premier Oceanfront Corner Suite with its wraparound balcony.

What it is: A luxurious spa, offering holistic treatments, services and classes to nurture the body, mind, and spirit. Originally created by Carole Bamford in the English countryside, this is the first U.S. Bamford Wellness Spa.
What we like about it: A great place to restore inner peace and calm after a busy day in the city or in the sun. The treatments use products from their own body and skincare range - all formulated using natural and organic ingredients.
Our favorite: The Bamford Signature Treatment - a top to toe revitalizer which includes a cleansing foot bath, three types of massage (Shiatsu, Meridian and Swedish) to wake up energy channels and muscles, a reflexology-inspired foot massage for positive energy flow, which also helps to detoxify the organs, then a pressure point massage on the face, neck, shoulders, and scalp which makes you feel relaxed and uplifted. You end with some assisted yogic breathing to help refresh your lungs and revitalize your entire body.

What it is: A creative and cultural neighborhood with some of the best architecture and public art, it’s home to over130 luxury stores, galleries, showrooms, antique dealers, bars and restaurants (over 130 to be precise!).
What we like about it: This area is great for shopping, with futuristic flagships stores from Hermes to Celine to Chanel. After decades of falling into disrepair this area was lovingly redeveloped in the early 2000s. We love the sleek, modern architecture, public art, and The Institute of Contemporary Art shows cutting-edge work in its ultra-modern building.
Our favorite: It’s perfect for gallery hopping - make sure you visit the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami. For a wellness fix there’s yoga, medspas such as Biohax for infrared sauna, hyperbaric chamber and redlight therapy. Keep an eye on their events calendar for art tours, heritage talks, pop ups (even from Jimmy Choo!) and closet sales.

What it is: A gallery selling 20th Century vintage art, objects, furniture.
What we like about it: Gillian is passionate about art, and researches each piece for the artist’s background and the provenance of the piece. From budget to investment pieces, each item is individually hand selected for its aesthetic appeal, so you’ll be able to browse for a one-off or build up a collection for your home.
Our favorite: The entire space is beautifully curated and a great place to find inspiration for your space. The oversized art is just wonderful for creating an original statement in a large room.

What it is: A curated collection of vintage modern art, objects and furniture selling an array of hard to find pieces with new arrivals almost every day!
What we like about it: They have some superb originals, from brutalist wall art to sculptures and 20thC European furniture and limited editions.
Our favorite: The large, vintage sectional sofas and the stunning dining tables. But did we mention you can pick up a Warhol there too?

What it is: A Mid-Century-Modern gallery offering a range of stunning European and American furniture, lighting, art and ceramics.
What we like about it: Passionate about style, they have curated some fun, rare and collectable pieces.They also produce their own 1960s-inspired furniture. We love the way they arrange their wares into ‘beach-chic’ style tableaux.
Our favorite: Check out the projects tab on their website to get really inspired on how to pull together an entire room or setting with a mix of eclectic pieces and colors.

What it is: Miami Beach’s contemporary art museum featuring international contemporary art exhibitions, opened in 1964, following the donation of a private collection by John and Johanna Bass..
What we like about it: aside from the fabulous collections, the building itself is a gem. It's a 1930s Art Deco building, formerly the Miami Beach Public Library and Art Center. The space and grounds lend themselves to a broad mix of wall art, sculptures and more.
Our favorite: Ugo Rondinone’s Miami Mountain installed in Collins Park, on the corner of 21st Street and Collins Avenue. If you want to take some stunning exterior photos of the building - choose dusk. They are open until 9pm on Thursdays through to late September.

What it is: Swim and resort wear boutique with luxe brands, including pieces by designers like Acacia and Mara Hoffman
What we like about it: Really friendly atmosphere, great range of pieces, including a bridal section! Plus you can kit out the whole family as they have gorgeous pieces for men and kids too.
Our favorite: Our founder, Jena, is a huge fan of their bikinis.

What it is: This fashionable, popular 3-story boutique located in a gorgeous art deco building sells high-end designer wear for women, men and kids, alongside a range of homeware and beauty products.
What we like about it: From their Chanel Cruise Collection to their quirky, cactus-inspired Ichendorf Milano champagne bowls, there’s something for everyone.
The building alone is worth a visit - including the rooftop deck.
Our favorite: We love their Extraordinary Essentials range, featuring capsule wardrobe classics like the Saint Laurent Carine slingback, Gucci logo geometric sunglasses and the ivory leather tote hook bag from The Row.

What it is: chic, open-air mall shopping bursting with designer boutiques, department stores and restaurants and in a lush, tropical setting.
What we like about it: Ever since Madonna was spotted shopping here in the ‘90s, this has been an area NOT to miss! Retailers and restaurants include Salvatore Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Goyard, Harry Winston, Prada, Richard Mille, Van Cleef & Arpels, Versace, Makoto, Le Zoo, Carpaccio and Hillstone. The anchors are Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Our favorite: All of it is fabulous but we’d recommend making time for lunch - Aba is superb (see full listing for this restaurant in the food and drink section of our Miami guide!) and maybe even a gelato while you’re there.

What it is: A beautiful coffee shop which is part of the Ralph Lauren empire.
What we like about it: While Ralph himself may not be serving you, he has been very much involved in developing the blends and creating a classy and vintage space where you can relax as you take a break from shopping. The decor is based on that of the original New York Ralph’s Coffee.
Our favorite: The coffees are every bit as good as you’d hope for, whether you choose a signature cold brew made with oat milk, a hot cappuccino, or an iced latte with almond milk. Plus you can treat yourself to some merch - a souvenir mug, tote or water bottle to remind you of your visit.

What it is: Hugely popular with South Beach’s glamorous restaurant set, since it opened in 2012, this elegant and sophisticated restaurant specializes in Greek cuisine with its exceptional fish and seafood dishes.
What we like about it: The food is fresh, and simply prepared, bringing out the authentic Greek flavors. Try for a table on the terrace if you can.
Our favorite: The Greek spreads (taramosalata, tzatziki, htipiti, grilled pita and raw vegetables), then the fish baked in sea salt - but leave room for some traditional Greek cheesecake if you dare!

What it is: Offering 21st Century Japanese cuisine, this place is said to be the best Japanese restaurant in Miami. It's famed for its sushi, but the menu also boasts steaks, grills, tempura, noodle and salad dishes. Fish is flown in directly from Tokyo three times a week so everything is really fresh.
What we like about it: The authentic flavors are amazing, the presentation is a work of art. Both ambience and service are superb, and the decor is evocative - sit at a table outside amongst the bamboo trees.
Our favorite: the baked crab and soy paper rolls, the crispy sprouts with kimchi and lime, and the truffle salmon with crystallized soy and citrus.

What it is: A Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence, this is a little oasis to treat your taste buds and relax your mind.
What we like about it: The design, inspired by Mediterranean summers, features a lush, green courtyard, with wicker furniture, and huge stone planters.
Our favorite: It’s superb any time of day but if you’re catching up with the girls then we’d say the brunch menu. Try the smoky garlic hummus, the whipped feta with pistachios, the house-made labneh and finish with the signature halva with roasted grapes, almonds and a mini date bar.

What it is: An ethical, sustainability-focused all day cafe serving delicious and nutritious food - go here for breakfast, brunch or a healthy snack.
What we like about it: the husband and wife team behind the brand have created a health-conscious menu - from raw acai bowls and superfood smoothies to salads, wraps and an all day breakfast. Plus they’re community-minded and donate leftover fruit and veg to composting partners who then create fertile soil which is donated to local farmers.
Our favorite: The almond berry toast and the green goddess smoothie will set you up for the day!

What it is: Greek and Turkish bistro serving traditional dishes in the most gorgeous setting. Extremely popular with locals and visitors, so you may need to book ahead!
What we like about it: This feels like a Mediterranean taverna - the 1940s building has been restored with a lush garden and patio area, painted traditional blue and white. You can even shop while you’re there and pick up a rustic salad bowl, or some extra virgin olive oil or dried herbs.
Our favorite: the arugula salad with dates, pistachios, and crumbled feta with pomegranate vinaigrette, the roasted beets with tahini yogurt ,sesame seeds and mint, for nibbles - and the moussaka is pretty hard to beat.

What it is: One for seafood lovers, this historic, iconic restaurant has over 100 years of history. Serving its famous crab, it also offers oysters, lobster, shrimp, fish, steak and more.
What we like about it: It’s a slice of Miami history, with a traditional dark wood dining room and a couple of pretty courtyards.
Our favorite: the stone crab of course, and the world-famous key lime pie!!
